The Vinyl Siding Institute (VSI) sponsors independent, unbiased testing, inspection and certification of vinyl siding performance. Gentek siding has been certified under a VSI program to meet or exceed the rigorous battery of tests known as ASTM D3679, the accepted standard for vinyl siding quality.
Thanks to this certification program, you can rest assured that, when installed according to our instructions, Gentek siding will meet or exceed industry standards for quality and performance. You can also be confident that your siding will maintain a uniform color over time, lay straight on a flat wall and withstand the effects of normal seasonal temperature fluctuations.

ENERGY STAR is a government-backed voluntary partnership program that promotes environmental protection and superior energy efficiency in products, building and homes. Windows and patio doors that carry the ENERGY STAR label are identified as energy- efficient products that meet the guidelines of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy.
Established in 1977, the Insulating Glass Certification Council (IGCC) sponsors and directs an independent, third-party certification program. Periodic accelerated laboratory tests, per American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) specifications, and unannounced plant quality audits and inspections assure the quality and performance of sealed insulating glass products.
The National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC) is a non-profit industry organization that is committed to providing accurate, fair and reliable testing data to help consumer, architects and builders compare the energy performance of window and door products. This valuable industry resource also provides an accurate method of showing the energy benefits of new designs or technology.
